The spring loaded lock rod mechanism for enhanced durability and usability.

The top compartment has a 3-sided full gutter system and automotive grade weather stripping that seals the compartment and channels the water away.

The bottom compartment has a sloped door design and automotive grade weather stripping that seals the door opening.
